From sampling to 100% invoice verification
Before VOLA started with Invoice Audit freight invoices were handled like many other companies do - they were skimmed through and random checks were made. If no obvious errors were found, the invoice was subsequently approved.
"With Invoice Audit, we have gained a 100% control of freight invoices that we did not have before," says Thomas Winther Jørgensen, Supply Chain Developer at VOLA.
The difference is significant. Where VOLA could previously only check selected invoices and hope that they represented the whole picture, they now automatically check every single invoice against their freight agreements.
Price comparisons they couldn't have done on their own

The result of the implementation has exceeded VOLA's expectations. "We spend far less time and get total control of our shipments," says Thomas, who is enthusiastic about the overview the platform has given VOLA.
They have gained full insight into their carriers' fees and surcharges - information that was previously difficult to get a systematic overview of. With the increased data base, VOLA is now in a better position when negotiating with carriers.
Instead of going to the table with assumptions and limited data, they now have concrete numbers and trends that significantly strengthen their position.
